Since the v0.8 Locked & Loaded update on 2 September 2026, Wingman 2v2 has been Bodycam's default competitive mode. It replaced Body Bomb, and it is the only mode in the game that awards rank and ELO. Everything else you play – Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Versus, Gun Game – has no effect on your rank.
That makes Wingman different from every other mode in how you should read your stats.
Short rounds, small numbers
Wingman is played in rounds with one life per round and only two players per team. That means:
- far fewer kills and deaths per match than in Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch,
- every single death has a big effect on your K/D,
- one good or bad round can swing your numbers for a whole match.
A K/D that looks low next to your Deathmatch numbers can be perfectly normal in Wingman. Comparing the two directly says very little.
Why win rate matters more than K/D here
Your rank follows wins and losses, not kills. In a 2v2 match you are half of your team, so your own play has a much bigger share in the result than in larger team modes. That makes Wingman win rate one of the most personal team stats in the game.
It also means K/D and win rate can tell different stories:
- High K/D, low win rate: you are winning fights, but often not the ones that decide rounds – for example kills after the round is already lost, or trading too late.
- Low K/D, decent win rate: you may be playing for your partner and the objective, taking risky fights that open the round for the team.
- Both rising: the clearest sign of real improvement.
Give it enough matches
Wingman results are noisy. With a small sample, a couple of close losses can look like a slump. Before deciding that you are getting better or worse, wait for at least 20 Wingman matches, and compare them with your previous 20 Wingman matches – not with other modes.
How to read your Wingman stats in BC Stats
- On the Charts page, open the game mode table and look at Wingman on its own.
- Watch win rate first, then K/D and deaths per match.
- Use the W/L chart to spot streaks. A run of losses in one evening often says more about the session than about your level.
- If you also play other modes, do not judge your Wingman form by your overall K/D. The mix of modes changes that number on its own.
BC Stats does not read your in-game rank or ELO – it works only from the scoreboard screenshots you save. What it gives you is the history behind the rank: how your wins, losses and K/D in Wingman change over time.
